About

A point becoming a line, becoming a three-dimensional object.
Time, repetition and materiality are key words in my work. I build ceramic compositions by pressing bits of clay together repeatedly until creating forms. Subtle manipulations create shifts that develops spontaneously in ways that cannot be planned beforehand. My background as massage therapist and years of ballet dancing dominates my approach to the material. The body`s experience of working with timing, repetition and music is incorporated as a rhythmical language.
I live and work in Oslo, Norway but keep a studio at Norsk Teknisk Porselen factory in Fredrikstad. My work is represented in the collections of Oslo City Council and Norges Bank.
